We are excited to announce a significant milestone in the evolution of our organization. After careful consideration, and in alignment with our broader mission and goals, the CROMed-USA Logo has been changed to the “Croatian-American Medical Alliance”.

This decision reflects our commitment to inclusivity and the expansion of our reach within the medical community. The new Logo better represents the diverse group of professionals and stakeholders who contribute to our shared objectives.

Our core values remain unchanged, supporting initiatives in exceptional medical education in Croatia.

July 4th 2023: Zagreb, Croatia

CROMed-USA Forum: Innovations in Medical Education was held on July 4th, 2023 in Zagreb, Croatia. The aim of this event was to discuss current medical education landscape in Croatia in the context of changes taking place in contemporary medical education in the world.

October 24-28, 2023: Boston, MA, USA

Building on the Forum, the CROMed-USA sponsored 7 representatives of medical educators from Croatia to attend a continuous medical education program at Harvard University titled "Principles of medical education: Maximizing your teaching skills."

October 29-November 4, 2023: St. Louis, MO, USA

The education at Harvard University was followed by a week long stay in St. Louis to visit Washington University in St. Louis, St. Louis University and Mercy Hospital St. Louis. The visit focused on the practical aspects of clinical education for medical educators.

Interactive spirit of the visit and the subsequent participation at the First Annual CROMed-USA Conference “Teaching the Art of Medicine in the 21st Century” in St. Louis empowered participants to exchange best practices and explore innovative solutions for a modern and adaptable medical education landscape.

November 4th, 2023: St. Louis, MO, USA

CROMed-USA Annual Fundraising Gala 2024 took place in St. Louis. Here we celebrated our organization's achievements in advancing Croatian-American medical education alliance, and raised funds for future innovations in medical education initiatives. The Gala featured exquisite dining experience, an auction, and concert “ Croatian Classics” performed by renowned Croatian pianist Javor Bračić and guest cellist William Kass.

In collaboration with the School of Medicine University of Split we will sponsor 2 day symposium and round table discussions:

UNIVERSITY CLINIC FOR EXCELLENCE IN TEACHING AND MEDICINE SPLIT

with strategies for implementation

PROJECT II

October/November 2024: St. Louis, MO, USA

In collaboration with the School of Medicine University of Split we will sponsor 3 medical educators to visit leading teaching institutions in St. Louis, MO. They will stay 4-6 weeks and learn first hand how to implement competency based medical education in day-to-day teaching in clinical medicine.

The Gala will take place at the Hilton St. Louis Frontenac on November 2nd, 2024. We will celebrate our organization's achievements in advancing Croatian-American medical education alliance, and raise funds for future innovations in medical education initiatives.
